Dr. Sam Centanni received a 2022 NARSAD Young Investigator Award from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. The project will define the gene expression profile of stress-activated neurons in a circuit linking the mid-insula to the BNST, a step toward understanding what makes these neurons distinct.
